💧February 2 is “World Wetlands” Day
A meeting was held on the occasion of February 2 “World Wetlands Day” by “Arolboyi” National Nature Park under the authority of the National Committee for Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change.
On this basis, on February 2, 1971, in the city of Ramsar, Iran, the international community adopted the Convention on Wetlands of International Importance, which are the main habitat of waterfowl, in order to protect wetlands and draw the attention of the general public to such areas. Since 2001, Uzbekistan has been an equal member of this convention.

“Aralboyi” National Nature Park, which is part of the National Committee for Ecology, Protection of the Arctic, and Climate Change, celebrated February 2nd as the Day of “Blanketed Wetlands”.
In addition, on February 2, 1971, in Iran’s Ramsar Castle, the Convention on Wetlands of International Importance was established by the international community for the purpose of protecting wetlands and drawing attention to such areas. was accepted. Uzbekistan has been a full member of this convention since 2001.
