The activities of Orolboyi National Nature Park are aimed at comprehensively solving the environmental challenges of the Aral Sea region and ensuring the sustainable development of protected areas.
Main Areas of Activity
- Environmental Protection and Forest Melioration: As part of the “Yashil Makon” nationwide initiative, large-scale forest melioration projects are being carried out to stabilize the park’s ecosystem. Establishing vegetation cover across these areas helps protect the environment and preserve biological diversity.
- Biodiversity Conservation: Continuous monitoring of rare wildlife and migratory bird populations is actively conducted. Priority is given to restoring natural ecosystems and protecting rare, endemic species of flora and fauna listed in the Red Data Book of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
- Scientific Research: Preserving biodiversity and protecting flora and fauna are key priorities within the Orolbo’yi National Nature Park. To achieve this, regular applied scientific research and systematic ecosystem monitoring are performed.
- Ecological Tourism and Education: Promoting environmental stewardship among youth is a continuous effort. New hiking and driving eco-routes are being developed, alongside the creation of visitor information centers for guests.
