Cranes (Gruidae) Large legs and long neck, relatively broad wings. Lives in wetland or very humid ecosystems. During the seasonal migration, they fly to their wintering grounds in large flocks. It makes its nest on the ground from plants. It becomes an adult at the age of 3-6 years. Both sexes take care of the offspring. It lays 2-3 eggs and hatches for about 1 month. Children will be born after 2-3 months. The pair is permanent and long-lasting. Young birds fly to the village with their parents; after returning to the nesting sites in the spring, they begin to live separately. They feed on seeds, shoots, fruits, insects, small rodents, fish, molluscs, etc. White crane, gray crane and little crane can be found in Uzbekistan during migration. In the southern regions, the gray crane stays for the winter. The white crane is included in the Red Books of the International Union for Conservation of Nature and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
