🌱 “Arolbo’i” National Nature Park
A meeting of the Coordinating Council was held in Tashkent on the project “Conservation and management of lakes, wetlands and coastal areas as a basis for sustainable livelihoods in the degraded lands of the Aral Sea basin”.
At the event, the works performed within the framework of the project were discussed.
Within the framework of the project, the status of existing and newly created protected areas was evaluated, a number of regulatory documents and draft laws were prepared.
“Our goal was to determine what needs to be done for 2024. During the discussions, we paid attention to each proposal and determined the future plans”, said Akmal Ismatov, head of the Aralboi wetlands management project, and the heads of the reserve and the national park also expressed their opinions about the works carried out in the areas.
