📢 Nature protection is being strengthened in Uzbekistan!
In recent years, the reforms implemented in the field of ecology and environmental protection are bearing fruit. Important steps have been taken on rational use of natural resources, preservation of ecosystems and expansion of protected areas.
🏞 In particular, in 2025-2026, the land area of 10 protected natural areas under the Department of Protected Natural Areas under the Ecology Committee was expanded.
In particular, according to the decision PQ-109 of March 25, 2026:
✔️3 new national nature parks were established
✔️1 existing garden has been expanded
Newly established national parks:
✔️”Ovjazsoy – Blue Mountains”
✔️”Piscom”
✔️”Fergana”
♻️ Total area: 188.8 thousand hectares
✅ “Pop” National Nature Park: expanded from 10,000 hectares to 135,300 hectares
🐾 What will be preserved as a result?
🐿 27 types of rare animals;
🦨 7 types of endemic species;
🍀 40 types of plants included in the Red Book;
🐆24 species of endangered animals in the Fergana Valley.

✔️ Their total area: 15.9% of the country’s territory

💰According to the Resolution No. PQ-343, from July 1, 2026, the salary of employees will be increased up to 3 times.
🔰Also, special titles and distinguishing marks were introduced.
🛠 Infrastructure development:
✔️ More than 400 devices and special equipment were delivered in 2025;
✔️ In 2026, the material and technical base will be further strengthened within the framework of the “Biomeros” project.
