November 10 is the Day of Migratory Animals in Uzbekistan. This date has been celebrated in our country since 2013
Uzbekistan joined the Convention “On the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals” on September 1, 1998, 19 years after the convention was signed in Bonn, Germany, and 15 years after it entered into force. Currently, our country is preparing for the 14th meeting of the Conference of Convention Participants (CMS COP14), which will be held in the historical city of Samarkand on February 12-17, 2024. This prestigious international event will be held in Uzbekistan for the first time.
📕 It is worth noting that many migratory animals live in our country, including those included in the “Red Book” of Uzbekistan and the “Red List” of the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
